Habitat Conservation & Restoration Team

US-Mexico International Integration

To ensure the sustainability and productivity of the Gulf for generations to come, the Gulf of Mexico Foundation has taken the lead in coordinating the activities of the Habitat Conservation and Restoration Team (HCRT).

The Team is composed of representatives from the five Gulf States, federal agencies including NOAA and EPA, non-governmental organizations, academic institutions and other vested interests in the Gulf of Mexico.

Mikell Smith serves as the GMF’s Project Coordinator for the HCRT, coordinating planning efforts and projects implemented under the Team’s conservation and restoration work plan.

Below is a list of the individual projects that have been implemented by the Team in accordance with the Governor’s Action Plan.
