Through a TV screen in their classroom, middle school students in Aransas Pass, Texas, communicate with Russian and US astronauts aboard the International Space Station through a satellite video conference on Oct 2, 2003. The 20-minute event was made possible by a live satellite downlink provided by NASA to 28 classes in the Middle School Aerospace Scholars program. The Gulf of Mexico Foundation's Science & Spanish Club Network participated in the event as well.
