plans Bahia Grande Limpienato Parade

Event set for Saturday, April 5, in Port Isabel, Texas

PORT ISABEL, TX - April 2008 - The Gulf of Mexico Foundation announces the 2nd Annual Bahia Grande Limpienato Parade and 4th Annual Spring Cleanup. It will be held on Saturday, April 5, starting at 9 a.m. at the Boys & Girls Club of Port Isabel on Port Road. Escorted by police, the parade will arrive at Boulah Lee Park near the public library at about 10:30 a.m.

Following the parade, registration begins for the Spring Cleanup at Lee Park gazebo. From 10:45 am to noon, club members and other volunteers will be cleaning up their prospective sites. Please bring posters. GMF's Project Leader Richard Gonzales will bring parade banners and a river dragon made of shear fabric that requires about 8 people to carry.

Spring Cleanup participants will bring all trash bags to the trash container at Boulah Lee Park between 12:30 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. Lunch will be served at the Sea Ranch Restaurant on South Padre Island.
