Since 2002 the Gulf of Mexico Community-based Restoration Partnership, administered by the Gulf of Mexico Foundation, has funded over $2 million in habitat restoration projects around the Gulf of Mexico. These funds have leveraged over $4.6 million in matching contributions, including over 36,000 volunteer hours. These efforts have lead to the restoration of over 13,000 acres of coastal and marine habitat in the Gulf of Mexico.
