Doug Bannerman - Member

Doug Bannerman is Social Performance Leader for Development and Production North America. Doug has held the position since it was newly created in 2012.

As a senior staff adviser, Doug provides strategic oversight and technical support to the social license efforts of Statoil’s US onshore and offshore businesses, ensuring that plans, programs and investments are fit-for-purpose and meet stakeholder expectations. Doug is a board member of the South Texas Energy Economic Roundtable (STEER) and served as a co-chair of the American Petroleum Institute (API) committee that developed the “Good Neighbor Guidelines.”

Prior to joining Statoil, Doug worked for leading sustainability consultancies, Business for Social Responsibility (BSR) and Two Tomorrows and he has more than twenty years of US and international experience in economic development, human rights, social investment, community engagement, and other aspects of corporate social responsibility (CSR).

Doug graduated from the University of Western Ontario and resides in Houston, Texas.
