The GMF receives award nomination by the Department of Commerce Office

CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS - MARCH 20, 2021 - The Gulf of Mexico Foundation’s Habitat Restoration Technology Training Center (HRTTC)  has been nominated by the Department of Commerce Office of Sustainable Energy and Environment Programs for the  “ 2012 Energy and Environmental Stewardship Award.”  This award recognizes projects and Department of Commerce employees that make significant contributions to achieving sustainability management in the fields of environment, energy, and transportation.  The winner will be announced in April 2012. “We are in the design phase of the HRTTC  and are studying the best communication technology to include in the project that will provide a North American communication network,” said Dr. Quenton Dokken, President and CEO for the Gulf of Mexico Foundation.  “The possibilities for having a positive impact on the Gulf of Mexico society and all who live, work, and play on its shores are unlimited.”
