CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS - February 23, 2021 - The Gulf of Mexico Foundation (GMF) recently hosted its quarterly board meeting at the historic Hotel Galvez in Galveston, Texas followed by a VIP reception at the Fisherman’s Wharf restaurant.  GMF’s Board of Directors got an opportunity to learn more about the foundation’s plans for its Habitat Restoration Technology Training Center (HRTTC) expected to be completed in Galveston, Texas by May 2013. GMF staff also presented updates on the foundation’s ongoing restoration projects and growing educational programs. The board meeting included a special presentation by John Hankinson, Director of the Gulf Coast Ecosystem and Restoration Task Force. Wayne Johnson, GMF’s Board Chairman spoke at the reception and highlighted  the wonderful work the GMF staff is doing on behalf of the Gulf of Mexico. The reception was sponsored by the Port of Corpus Christi.
