January 2011 - The Gulf of Mexico Foundation kicked off its individual membership program by offering new members a chance to win an Ocean Kayak. The Foundation conducted a random drawing of all its new members and selected a winner, Ray Allen, Director of Coastal Bend Bays and Estuaries Program in Corpus Christi, Texas. Mr. Allen was presented with his new kayak on January 30 by GMF President/CEO Dr. Quenton Dokken.
Eighty-five percent of all Foundation funding contributes directly to the restoration, conservation and education of the Gulf of Mexico region. Join our effort to conserve coastal wetlands, restore habitats, protect diverse sea life, educate our teachers and students, and ensure that the Gulf remains healthy and productive for our grandchildren.
